The quake pushed the whole island of Japan 8 feet and shifted the earth's axis 4 inches. Jeeze. I haven't checked the news reporting today... I'm just not up to it.

I know... even I was taken aback when they reported the stats on the damage caused. I also wonder like Nev... what we reap from the Earth, I'm sure the Earth put the stuff there for good reason, ie. to keep the Earth together, stable, etc... act as a lubricant if you like... but I'm sure it wasn't for greed.

There are changes afoot... magnetic north has been moving at an accelerated pace. We closed an airport recently in Tampa to redraw the flight lines. I think that combined with the recent catastrophic events, are going to affect us all. Somehow.

I discovered during the night that the New York Times (nytimes dot com) is posting amazing information and continual updates on the events unfolding in Japan.

They're doing a good job at presenting facts and background information and analysis.

Another good resource is news dot com dot au... Good information from Australia; home of amazing people!

The scope of this disaster reminds me of WWII. People are dying and risking their future in order to save others, in their attempts to control the meltdowns at the nuclear power facilities; the government is telling people near the site to remain indoors, and yet they're having large aftershocks.
If I lived there, I don't know if I would be either focused, self-sacrificing and in emergency rescuing mode, or curled up in a corner, mute.

My T told me to do all the grounding and stress-reduction techniques I've learned, in order to keep functioning.

I'm glad we can be here, together,... The insights and mutual connections here are so very valuable.
