Another Nest To Watch :)

I love it when she's been out for a while, comes back all sleek and badass-looking, then just explodes into a ball of FLOOF and does that little wiggle to find a comfortable position on the eggs. :inlove:

She'll be sitting for a few days yet, earliest possible date for a regular hatching is Friday. :)
We might start hearing definite signs of life from inside the eggs as early as early as tomorrow, although I really wouldn't recommend turning up the volume to catch any of that. Mom may have an adorable answering sound, but...holy SH*T is she likely to start screaming for food in the middle of the conversation! :wideeyed:

I'm looking forward to meeting the cotton balls. Here's hoping for a good year and a successful fledging for anyone popping out of those shells this spring.
Already had to watch two young ones die on another cam this season, that's more than enough of the natural way of things for one year. :shifty:

The mother owl keeps turning around changing positions and I was able to see some of the eggs.

Three of them had hatched by the time I went to bed last night. Mom's pretty firmly planted at the moment, so there's no telling what's what with #4, but it's a good start. :D

Edit: Dad just dropped off some early breakfast. Couldn't see an egg in the squirming pile of fluff anymore, but then again, Mom never stood up all the way.
