@Dr.Knowbuddy I don't know why I am replying to you, because I suspect you are very entrenched in your views.
There was, for a time, someone on this forum who experienced a school shooting. Are you saying that person was faking and part of some conspiracy? You say to research. I've researched. I still find plenty of evidence that shows these shootings are real. Tell me, what methods are you using for research? Is it balanced? Do you look at multiple sources with multiple leanings?
And do you understand the damage you are doing to victims of mass shootings by denying there existence. Have you heard of secondary trauma? What you are doing is similar to people who say child abuse claims are largely faked. That parents *always* love their children and do their best for the children. Of course, you are going to say these shootings didn't exist. Is it easier to believe that? Does it make you feel safer? You are here on a PTSD forum. What if someone said that the trauma you experienced was a hoax? Even if you believe these shootings to be hoaxes, is this the right place to say it? Here were people have experienced trauma. Here were there may be people who have experienced mass shootings.
I have experienced, in a small way, the damage of mass shooting. I remember. I will never forget. The shooting happened at a place where people I knew regularly gathered. It happened at a time when I was headed to meet those people. I didn't know if anyone I knew or cared about had been shot. The news came out that someone was dead. I didn't know at first, if it was safe to go meet with my group. They had been targeted. And then going there, looking around to see who was there and who was missing. And yes, the person who died, was part of our group. She was a kind lady, with a sense of purpose and humor. I saw people I cared break down at the loss. Are you going to claim that was a hoax, because I haven't proven it happened?
