Have you discussed about this to your Therapist?
I'm not going to overcome my illness in the sense because it will never go away. It will, however, have better days and worse days and sometimes all in the same day. For a number of years I dealt with it on my own, for the most part, I do have a supportive husband and family. When I started seeing a therapist this last year I found one that has to deal with a chronic illness herself. However, I'm starting a new therapist on Monday. I do plan to talk about my illness and how it affects me.
I've really had to learn to listen to my body, sometimes that is all you can do. I use to work up to 80 hours a week and now I can't work at all. It really has been a mental adjustment as well as a physical one. I liked to believe that I could handle all the changes, but I've come to understand that I really need to talk with someone who isn't effected by it and doesn't have to worry about being straight forward with me.
And, no, I didn't mind you asking. It was a good question.
