Anxiety and psychosis

Curious if anyone else has severe anxiety with psychosis episodes? I've had this going on two years and it's hell.

Can you describe the psychosis episodes? I was having some really weird stuff happening but it all went away when I started taking Buspirone. No docs have ever used the word psychosis but I am very curious about the episodes I was having.

as an amateur etymologist, all the "psych" words confuse me. how can psych, psyche, psycho, psychic, psychosis, etc., etc., mean such radically different things while sharing the same word root? stigmatize much?

leaving that mystery be. . . the google ai generated definition of "psychosis" is, "Psychosis refers to a state where an individual experiences a loss of touch with reality." for my psycho nickel, anxiety IS a psychosis. i lose touch with reality when i am anxious.

just opining. . . don't accuse me of experting or artificially intelligizing.

From my perspective, psychosis has dimensions and everyone has unique experiences. When one is aware of internal stimuli, it's always important to keep a record of what is going on in order to identify possible triggers and gain insight into what is happening with oneself. Self-awareness is a good way to track the episodes and process them with a clinician.

Hallucinating can be a symptom of depression with psychotic features. It's stolen my life and one of most isolating and lonely thing to have
