I’m 29. I went through one egg retrieval that was a breeze to get through. Less eggs to retrieve. I just had my second retrieval this Monday and holy hell. That was something I’ve never experienced in my life. Gas pains in my shoulders , stomach, basically everywhere. It was worse than my laparoscopy I had in 2018 to remove my left tube and ovary (10cm cyst)
It’s been really taxing to say the least. I’m worried about getting OHSS. I have been looking up forums and Reddit non stop. I haven’t been able to exercise during the stimulation process and I won’t be able to until I get my period so I have no release or outlet for anxiety. I’m on lexapro but that’s only helped me so much. I’ve been feeling a little better each day but I’m not used to this because I usually recover pretty fast from surgery.
I’ve been praying to recover quickly.
Has anyone else been through IVF and had rough recovery?
