You did not ruin your community! They showed their weaknesses. You did what any good friend would do. You couldn't stand by anymore than I would have been able to do(or did when my friend did the same thing).

You did the best you could with what you knew. I wish I would have acted quicker when my friend told me he was ending it in a facebook message. Apparently he was bluffing, and I wasn't the only one he did it to. I don't know that he was really bluffing. Must have been awkward when the police showed up at his house. I haven't heard from him since.

You responded. Very few of us are trained in handling those type of situations. It's too bad your community rushed in to judgement. I wish that wouldn't have happened to you.

To be fair Britt,

not everyone judged me. I spoke to one woman yesterday and she said that if this woman, T, did what she did to me, then they would find out what it was like and freak out too. I saw D, today and she hasn't got a problem with it. The majority of the people didn't react badly. It was only a few. It is a shame I let it effect me so much. It was a learning experience.

I, too, miss my mum. She died 15 years ago; it still sometimes feels like she died only last week.

I sometimes miss my family, too, despite how horrible they've been to me. There were good times with my family; it's the good times I miss and stupidly hold onto.

I'm missing my mom again. Time to celebrate my son's 17th birthday. Until last year, she never missed one. Birthdays and holidays were her things. It'll be sad not to have her here.

I am missing someone who has not yet been in my "real life". I wonder if that person will ever come. I am not hoping for that anymore (this is a good thing), but instead I'll wait and see. Sometimes that is very difficult.

It occurred to me the other day - that some days I am missing myself - when I am dissociating.

I am missing my husband before he got parkinsons and dementia. I really miss our old life. It feels like life is all over now. Getting him to do things is so hard. He would rather stay at home because he is sick most of the time. I need to be more compassionate towards him. I think I am feeling so sorry for myself.
