Hello all :)
I am a disabled veteran-thanks to the Army I had multiple surgeries gone wrong while on active duty and finally got rated unemployable by the VA after 10 years of fighting.
Never saw war first hand but seen enough deaths and helped fellow active duty/veteran cope with death, life, and PTSD.
I became a nurse to help people even more specializing in Psych Nursing. I had to retire early due to all my disabilities but still enjoy volunteering and helping people as much as I can-it keeps me sane!
In 2006 I was rear ended by a drunk driver on my motorcycle and diagnosed with PTSD.
Now I realize what PTSD really is-I am not just sympathetic but empathetic too.
