Ask a foreigner

Um no. Its 5 hours driving.
I stand corrected. I worked for a french gentleman one summer. He said the trip to and from the airport in Paris was 23 miles and took all day. Narrow windy streets were one car wide and cobblestone.

....at least he wasn't like a guy I used to work with who never understood what those "weird little clocks" beside the Swiss mountain roads were.
(for one way traffic. If its white it's going your way if its red, there is traffic coming toward you......)

I been watching this guy who does street interviews in Tokyo and Vienna. And I noticed everyone is so nicely dressed. It seems like people in America (or in my Western city) are unkempt by comparison (my bias is that I am in poverty and surrounded by people in poverty—we are TIRED). Do Americans (not in movies) seem messy/unkempt? Or is it just people in poverty in general?

Rose, in January I accidentally went to the supermarket with a dirty sock velcroed to my jacket.
Not because that's the fashion or anything, but because I have a habit of just whacking my clothes on the floor when I get home, then I store them later. But I did not notice the sock on my jacket.

I generally have messy and unkempt hair, but this was like the cherry on the cake: looking like a vagrant, sock stuck to my chest and oblivious as to why people were staring. Not from the US, although I feel like I must have had a previous life there or something.
