So in real life I was told that talking therapy wasn’t going to work for me..if I couldn’t talk about things- which I completely makes sense. I had EMDR and felt it help some areas, like physical anxiety but couldn’t express what needed to do. My worry is that speech for me is getting worse and so will I never talk things through. Or maybe don’t need to, put it in a big box and lock away. Is working on expressing myself good idea or should I do a big supersize badass avoidance on all this feelings shit? Thanks for your time

Irony detected.
Work on expressing oneself. Therapist isn't psychic. And communication is engaging with trauma, which... is what therapy is. It might hurt but you're worth it.
my method is honesty when speaking with T. honest, always. therapist asks "how are you today" i don't give the canned response. i say how i'm feeling today. build from there.

I thought I'd die with it inside. Then when it started coming out on it's own and I couldn't stop it anymore I tried to kill myself first because I never expected it would do that.
So in my opinion the 'supersize badass avoidance' won't work. At least it didn't for me. This 'effect' of the walls holding back the trauma breaking down beyond a certain point and the trauma resurfacing is in Judith Hermans book "Trauma and Recovery," and reading it helped me understand this more than any other single thing I did or have done

It's on my list to order from Amazon, I gave my copy away. I think it's time to read it again.

.

I’ll have a look for this book, thanks ?

In my opinion, definitely do what you can to talk about it. Write it down. Only say a few words at a time. Doesn’t really matter how you talk about it, just that you do. Otherwise it festers like an infection, then it spreads to other areas you thought were unrelated and it dominoes from there.
