Hi Okradlak,
Congratulation on such a wonderful achievement. I am so proud of you.
I am 3/4 of the way through my Masters degree at the moment. I was hit with PTSD after my first semester. For me, going to university is about gaining back my independence, so it is very important to me. Many times I thought I could not do it. But as I started going through the units, I found (to my surprise) that I was getting distinctions. With each assignment, test and each unit, I gained confidence. If I can do it, you can do it. I believe in you.
My advice:
Plan ahead. An assignment may be due months away, but planning ahead means that when things are tough you can give yourself a break and pull off the peddle a bit.
Do the weekly work. Even if you only spend an hour a day/ a week, give it a go.
If you don't get something, don't worry, just move on and things will get clearer as you progress through the unit. Most units clear themselves up as they progress.
Passes are made by various elements - assignments, exam, participation etc. If you fail or just pass one, that doesn't mean you will fail the course or the degree. I failed one element, but made it up with another.
If you first don't succeed, try again. If you fail a unit, you can always do it again. You will still get the degree in the end.
Do make time for things you like doing. All work no play is not a good combo. You need to take breaks/ time outs and have some fun.
Group work needs to be broken into parts. Take what you feel most confident in working on as what you can do well will help the group as a whole.
Judge your successes and not your failures.
and lastly Ps (Passes) make Degrees. Be proud of your P's.
Wishing you all the best! Hugs and Congratulations! You can do it! xxoo
