We can get caught up on the words we want to hear. And we can miss the actions that they are showing us.
Are they hugging you more, sharing their day, texting, checking in,ect. Sometimes people find it easier to communicate by actions, not words, because they haven’t found them yet.

He calls and texts me everyday. He tells me about his worries, whether its job. family or other worries. He asked me to meet for date night on saturday even though he broke up with me the other day. I suppose i need to focus on the actions like you said, the smaller things and anything positive i can find and be grateful.

It’s what I did and it worked out. In time communication got better.
