Just wanted to thank you for replying. I don't know how to answer your question.Okay... so then what does trust mean to you?
I do get that just because (to my mind) trust -> relaxation, doesn't make relaxation -> trust. The hope was that if I could find a way to be more at ease in her presence it might make me more likely to be able to stay focused and actively engage in the session - which could lead to cooperation and something trust-like. So as I said, a step on the way.
But my brain has been a bit fried for the last couple of days, so I haven't been working on this. I did consider some form of desensitization protocol, working on being calm/present in the vicinity of the building (in theory I could work up to being calm in the waiting room). But, that is not doable as it's a five hour journey to get there. So, a dead end.
