Hell, I have seen people that pretend they are married to me without ever speaking to me, harassers and stalkers that pretend to have children of mine who I have never been with in my private life. There are all kinds out there.
You have to be able to capture the truth, journaling what is happening through each incident, then everything they say that goes against your own observations is just a lie.
Aggressors will attempt to brainwash you, no question. I have had contact with an idiot who has acted like he was married to me for the past 7 years, go figure. Not many sane people out there.
