Bullying flashbacks

I am 24 but I was severly bullied and neglected at school and have suffered various traumas I am so annoyed because I still get flashbacks at being in school and when I do I get the same feelings I do when I was back there and it takes me ages to feel ok again in my body and I hate it does anyone have any advice I do not have a therapist because my therapist left whilst i was in the middle of my programme because he was sick the flashbacks make my muscles really shaky and I was wondering if there was anything to calm them down if anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it

This may be a late response but Pauline, sorry to hear this. I too was severely bullied at school starting from the first day of Kindergarten (age 5) thru High School (age 18) almost everyday (physically, Verbally & Emotionally). Even coming close to being murdered. All of it still effects me as an adult. Also having to deal with abuse at home. I am now beginning to have flashback / Disassociation). However, my body does not shake unless I am going thru a flashback where my anger rises and I begin to shake or parts of my body does. Not sure whether it just your muscles or the body. I suspect it is your anger. Hope it has calmed down somewhat now. I wish you the very best.
