Just wondering if anyone can recommend a book that talks about PTSD and explains how it feels to have it? I am having a hard time explaining how I feel-or rather don't feel to my bf.

A good book thats a bit of money but worth it is No Comfort zone. It has a DVD also
The author and abuse survivor becomes a psychologist. Don't you just love happy endings? ;-)

The forum has a book selection however I think it is not working right now becasue of the upgrade.

This is a good book to share with your boy friend:

I think reading is overrated IMPO. We all know how to heal ourselves it's just getting out their and takeing your chances, at the risk. Risk of finding what you might have lost but have always known was out their.

I bought one book on PTSD: The PTSD Sourcebook by Schiraldi. Like the title suggests, it covers a lot of different approaches to treatment. Not all would work for me, or you, but it might work as a good introduction for a supporter. Now if I could just get my wife to crack it open.

Thank you all. I'll look them up and give him a list. If he's really interested he'll chose one. It's better than having to explain myself, or why I'm not myself....I hope he continues to support me until I can get back to normal.
