Place to visit when you're up late. I was hopeful to fall asleep tonight. But I feel quite awake it's 10:50pm. I also feel tired. I got quite triggered in therapy today. Bleh.

Not fun days. I cn pretty much tell now walking out the door how bad the next day or two will be. It's really bad when you get out the door and rush to get home 'cause you KNOW it's gonna be bad.I got quite triggered in therapy today. Bleh.
Thanks for sharing @Freddyt we have a red lava lamp in our room I don't know if res is supposed to soothe but it soothes me too at night. I love how you guys worded the resting without sleeping and staying calm. I just recently came to this place. Good to know that it gets easier to calm down with practice. We were talking about those nights in therapy today. We talked about the importance of leaning how to rest when you can't sleep. It's about getting into the same place as when you fall asleep but not worrying or stressing that you are not sleeping. I have a lot of practice with my calm place and even thinking of it brings it to mind. For whatever reason sleeping in dead quiet is difficult. I have LED strip lights on the back of the tv that color change and they go red at night. Then get into a safe warm comfy place and get grounded and reduce stress.
Even without sleep if I get 3-4 hours solid rest I can at least function the next day. (it's how I got through today.......)
