CBD Oil for PTSD?

I went with the Lazarus Naturals brand because they offer a 60% discount for the disabled, for low income, and for veterans. They carry THC free CBD oil as well as full spectrum hemp extract. I am taking a 25 mg dose every few days and have noticed an increase in quality sleep, relaxation, and pain reduction. I am also taking 50 mg of Atarax x3 daily for anxiety. (I am battling COPD, CFS, Fibromyalgia, PTSD, Depression, insomnia, IBS, and diabetes).

When I am in a lot of pain, am battling insomnia, or having high anxiety I take a 50 mg dose of high potency CBD Tincture oil and that seems to really help (for me). However, I began taking the CBD oil about the same time as I was given the prescription for Atarax and don't know which is helping the most as it is a combined effect that I am getting.

I should mention that with the 50 mg dose I am likely to sleep a full 8 hours without waking every hour or two and it is a more restorative sleep than what I had been getting.

I think the dosage is highly dependant on individual response and everyone is different in regards to their experience with how they react to CBD (and even trace amounts of THC). So It is wise to start slowly, with low doses until the therapeutic effect has been reached. I also highly recommend talking to one's doctor about CBD oil prior to taking it.

I’ve been researching CBD & hemp oil and the amount of misinformation out there is insane. Bloggers say much, but as soon as I read that they’re influencers trying to sell me a product, I disregard what they say.

I think I’ve narrowed it down to needing to take an isoterp cbd product as they have the thc fully stripped out with vital terpenes then added back in, as there is a synergistic effect amongst all these compounds. Whole hemp plant CBD can still have .3% thc and this is possibly where my issue was before, as I am VERY med sensitive. Then there’s also isolated hemp cbd but this has other helpful elements stripped away.

The .3% thc thing is somewhat arbitrary. There’s a bit on reddit about people who react poorly to cbd oil and I wonder if much of this is due to people being more thc sensitive.
