Hey Dave
I'm sorry to hear of your situation. I hate to say it but I think sometimes in an attempt to treat our conditions doctors prescribe way too many drugs. I think they can make it harder in the long run to get better. Short term, sure, I've been there and all, so I understand. It's part of the mindset of treatment for doctors.
If you're not getting what you need from the va get an advocate like the DAV, ect. They're really there to help and do. Sorry to say that part of getting treated through them will always be a fight and struggle. They're there for us, for no other reason do they exist. I wish it wasn't this way too.
As hard as it is you have to be pro-active and fully involved in your treatment and care. You've got to try and do something for you everyday. Something that will make you and your life better. Like Sarg says find someplace near by where you can go and take a walk in the woods. Take a breather, recharge your batteries. Don't try to take on the world, just one thing at a time. I always love the saying; how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. When life's in the dumper it's an impossible task to try and make it better but you have to anyway. Let me know if I can help. Hang in there Mate.
