Chicago Area, Us Support Group?

I'm looking for a support group in the Chicago area - particularly the northwest suburbs... and strangely I'm not finding much of anything. I located one that was for combat vets, and another specifically for African American people... but neither apply to me. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to locate one? Good old Google turned out to be pretty useless. Surprising, since I l ive in near such a major metropolitan area.

Any help would be apprecaited. Thanks in advance!

I'm so excited. There are not PTSD support groups but they do have ACOA retreats by me. I can't send URL but they deal with general healing. Alexian Brothers Hospital which is Elk Grove (NW suburbs of Chicago used to have trauma group therapy that met once a week but discontinued it. I am on Skype and I think we can do conferance calls. Is anyone interested? Skype is free BTW. I have been in 12 step groups for many years and have been in trauma groups so I know that are certain rules and criteria that need to be followed if you want to have a group. Please message me or respond here! I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO HAVE A PTSD RETREAT at this retreat by my house. It's very inexpensive $95 per person usually and we could print materials. I've been to a lot of retreats there. We usually watch a movie that relates. I would love suggestion on what movie but I am might be interested in hosting this.

I have been looking for years. I have found incest support groups and ACOA meetings have many people with PTSD and there are quite a few.

I don't live in the chicago area...about 11 hours away. But there is nothing closer as far as I can tell. So I would be willing to drive every once in a while if you all are serious.

I would host a retreat like I said because I am very involved with this retreat house. It used to be Al Capone's summer retreat and it's a big mansion on a lake. It's really inexpensive and really cool.
