. I did get the impression she was fed up with me and wanted to stop before she went away

When she returns this is a great opportunity to bring this up ( or give her a letter) that says all of this - "you like her and want to continue ... that you have the impression she was fed up....give her the opportunity to know what is going on for you and you may be surprised at her reply. At some point awhile back I had a conversation with my T about the process and it was important for me to hear her perspective and I think it gave her more information to help me.

While this whole relationship of talking and confronting issues with our T is unique it is still a relationship that involved 2 different people. I haven't had this where I could feel validated so I hold back because of my insecurities. That said it is still a time in developing communication with another person.

Yes I will do that @crying.on.inside .
I think I've just been fighting her help all this time. I would be fed up with me too.
Although I was there in sessions I realise now that I wasn't taking in or listening to what she said. I'm Always rushing around and wasn't letting myself reflect on what was being discussed. Now I've stopped, when things come up in my day I can remember my T talking about it. I wish I had researched ptsd when she first told me but I avoided looking it up I suppose through fear of it all being a reality? I guess I felt I didn't want anymore "labels".
