Childhood Sexual Abuse Survivor

I've been dealing with PTSD for about 3 years now because my repressed memories about some childhood sexual abuse began to come back. I was abused by a family member who, unfortunately, is still in my life. I've just recently decided that I needed to make some changes and have begun going to therapy through my university. It's been a long, overwhelming journey, but I'm still fighting. I joined this forum to find a few answers about everything I've been through and find people who might finally be able to understand me. So far, I am amazed at the care and support everyone gives and receives here.

Welcome. I think it will be easier, if it os ever easy, getting better with the help of your T and support from here. It is also good to start young. I've been trying for almost 20 yrs with a year off here and there. There is so much to deal with but it seems a rule of nature that what you need to handle comes up when you are ready and able to handle it.
