Listen To Our Hearts – Casting Crowns, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Geoff Moore

How do you explain, how do you describe
A love that goes from east to west
And runs as deep as it is wide
You know all our hopes

Lord, You know all our fears
And, words cannot express the love we feel
But we long for You to hear

So listen to our hearts, and hear our spirits sing
A song of praise that flows
From those you have redeemed
And, we will use the words we know
To tell you what an awesome God You are
But when words are not enough to tell You of our love
Just listen to our hearts

If words could fall like rain
From these lips of mine
And if I had a thousand years
I would still run out of time

So if You listen to my heart
Every beat will say
Thank you for the life, thank you for the truth
Thank you for the way

And listen to our hearts, hear our spirits sing
A song of praise that flows
From those you have redeemed
And, we will use the words we know
To tell you what an awesome God You are
But when words are not enough to tell You of our love
Just listen to our hearts

When words are not enough to tell You of our love
Just listen to our hearts

Listen to our hearts

Oh Lord please listen to our hearts

Listen to our hearts

Gathering the many verses from Jesus Calling today as they all so supportive - 1/31:

The Lord is my strength and my shield: my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
Psalm 28-7

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Matthew 6:34

When I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
Psalm 56: 3-4

"I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."
Genesis 28:15

For He will give His angels charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways. They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. Psalm 91: 11-12

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

I know that a lot of folks here also benefit from meditation, which is, I think, something from an E...
Meditation isn't always based around religion, especially eastern or pagan faiths. It's something that even a full blown atheist and skeptic can practice. It's can be as simple as sitting comfortably and eithe focusing on nothing but your breath, or your heartrate, or some instrumental music. One Buddhist monk even said that it can be something you can do on your commute to work. He explained it in this way.
There's always chatter in your mind, no matter what you're doing. For the sakey of explaining let's compare it to a talking monkey, running around in your head. Now this monkey doesn't shut up unless he's busy, so if your mind is wandering, you gotta give that monkey something to do. "Hey monkey, count my breaths" or "monkey, focus on my sitting or standing position". Sometimes it's as simple as finding a way to shut the monkey up for a short time.

Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
