@Recovery4Me That is interesting. I decided against joining the group, but I am doing the MBSR on my own. I do believe it will be helpful for me, I just didn't have time to read everyone's replies, as I am studying a lot of courses these days, like Astronomy, Writing non-fiction and also fiction, grammar, Improving One's Memory, Old Testament, New Testament, and several others. One only has so many waking hours in a day!

God has answered tons and tons of my prayers when my ptsd was really bad the first time especially after - had some great and productive years with many dreams come true. Always has helped in attacks and has really been beyond amazing by keeping me from being paralyzed. Although I am struggling with God now cuz the ptsd is back and my life became a hologram of what is was I believe in how much he loves people and animals so all I can do is pray for all and try and see what happens.

I was very upset about something yesterday, and I asked the Lord to help me to straighten it all out and get it right, and He did help me. He calmed my spirit and lead me to a solution to the problem. I still have one more thing to do to further help myself with His guidance, which I will do soon.

@void Because I think the thoughts that stirred it up to begin with again, thus bringing it upon myself again. Also, there is a passage of the Bible that says:

"Don't worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 New Living Translation of the Bible.

My problem is that I was brought up by atheist parents and so I never learned to pray as a child. I did not come to know God and Jesus until I was 49 years old, and so worrying is something that is deeply rooted in my psyche. The more I try not to worry, the more my mind worries! That is until I remember to pray again. Then God gives me His peace. It is an awful circle in a way with me, one that I have not found the way out of completely. However, when I remember to pray, I am relieved for awhile until I find myself worrying again.

I guess as I mature as a Christian, this will get to be less of a troubling thing. I'm not as prone to worry as much as I once was though, so time will teach me to worry less and less, I imagine.
