Merry Christmas! I have a problem. I have to see my abuser today, again, but this day is so hard for some reason. That and the whole family is coming to town, and I don't get along with most of them. Hopefully I will not get triggered. That would be the best Christmas gift.

BTW Jack loved his Christmas presents and is currently off in his imagination, battling with his Ben 10 toys. :-)

I have found it helpful to just plan on getting triggered. I carry my entire coping tool box. When the trigger doesn't happen I feel blessed. When it does happen, I am prepared.

Hope you find what works for you, Secret. Glad Jack loved his presents. Congratulate yourself on the most important do of the day. Hope you survive the rest with your dignity intact.

I just wanted to say that I hope your day has been ok. I am not surprised it is hard to see them on a day like today, especially with your whole family too, as there are so many expectations of how families "should" be at times like this, and I think that only adds to it when situations are difficult, but I hope you have had a very blessed day and can find some peace and joy within yourself at such a time as this.
