The psych doctor just upped my dose of Cipralex to 20mg, I've been on this dose before but that was before I overdosed. He also started me on 100mg of Trazodone for sleep. The Trazodone does help with sleep, it makes me tired so I can fall asleep, and I'm not waking up multiple times through the night. The downside that I've noticed since starting this Friday night is that I feel hungover in the morning for about half the day, I feel very emotionally numbed out, sometimes hyper and restless. I tried taking half the dose the next night and it did nothing for me, it didn't help me fall asleep and I was still waking up multiple times through the night.

Has anyone been on this combination? Does anyone have similar feelings being on this dose of Trazodone? Does it go away eventually?

I also take trazadone for sleep. Was on 100mg years ago but don't need that much now. I have also had the hangover effect the next morning, and yes, it should go away within a week or so, once your body gets used to the medication.

I hope you are hanging in there, @mytai.

sometimes hyper and restless
Hi @mytai, that could be the Cipralex. I was on Cipralex 20mg for about 3 1/2 years. I had absolutely no problems with it, until one fine day my body had an intolerance on it. Out of the blue I got restless, restless legs, hyper, heart pounding and I had pins and needles in my legs. It started 20 minutes after I took Cipralex. So I stopped taking them. And the symptoms stopped within a couple of days. After a Pause of 4 month we tried it again, and the symptoms immediately returned after the first pill. So I stopped taking them.
