Just finished my papers! Woot!
Now I'm collecting the rest of the info I need for the myPTSD post I've been working on. Asking people what they know about miniature ponies/horses as service animals in the United States, since it is legal. But I could use some wiser people's opinions (actually, the facts they know, not their opinions, but you know what I meant).
And, I am now seeing that it may be possible to get my credit score up to 720, so that's my new goal. It has come a LONG way since my mother wrecked it. (It was an accident, so everyone knows. She is not good at stress and I was young and ignorant about finances. Which sounds weird since I gave my mom financial advice that she used to make fun of me for before she got sued :-X)
But anyway, I've gotten it from "poor" to "fair" and now I want "good." With income, I could get a credit card and buy everything with it. Then, pay it completely every month. And then I'd have better credit! And therefore better deals on rent and later on, a mortgage. :)
I have learned that to have monthly payments of 700ish$ on a mortgage of a house around 170,000$, I would need to offer a down payment of around 35,000$, and while I have no idea how that works, I'm guessing it's not typically an option? So I'd have higher monthly payments. Plus the interest would make me pay like 250,000$ minimum! My student loans are kinda high so I should definitely rent first. I'd be sad if I lost a house.
Renting a house is feasible, though, if I save up. Or an apartment that isn't shitty :)
Also, if I go for disability, it will be for reduced working hours, I think. Because I think I can work in general, most of the time. :) But I will go and learn about it anyway.
@Sietz lol yes!
