Colorful and hopefully optimistic but maybe hateful occasionally

Just finished my papers! Woot!

Now I'm collecting the rest of the info I need for the myPTSD post I've been working on. Asking people what they know about miniature ponies/horses as service animals in the United States, since it is legal. But I could use some wiser people's opinions (actually, the facts they know, not their opinions, but you know what I meant).

And, I am now seeing that it may be possible to get my credit score up to 720, so that's my new goal. It has come a LONG way since my mother wrecked it. (It was an accident, so everyone knows. She is not good at stress and I was young and ignorant about finances. Which sounds weird since I gave my mom financial advice that she used to make fun of me for before she got sued :-X)

But anyway, I've gotten it from "poor" to "fair" and now I want "good." With income, I could get a credit card and buy everything with it. Then, pay it completely every month. And then I'd have better credit! And therefore better deals on rent and later on, a mortgage. :)

I have learned that to have monthly payments of 700ish$ on a mortgage of a house around 170,000$, I would need to offer a down payment of around 35,000$, and while I have no idea how that works, I'm guessing it's not typically an option? So I'd have higher monthly payments. Plus the interest would make me pay like 250,000$ minimum! My student loans are kinda high so I should definitely rent first. I'd be sad if I lost a house.

Renting a house is feasible, though, if I save up. Or an apartment that isn't shitty :)

Also, if I go for disability, it will be for reduced working hours, I think. Because I think I can work in general, most of the time. :) But I will go and learn about it anyway.

@Sietz lol yes!

You are making such big steps!!!
Congrats on the paper! And bettering your credit score! And on your goal setting!

I am so proud of you.
p.s. I'm proud of you even when you make posts that aren't as "positive" as you would like them to be, just fyi
But this post is definitely one for celebration :) :)

:) :) :D

Thanks, @bellbird! :)

Hopefully everything will pay off. One of the papers was a revised outline of a novel I'm working on, because why not get an author's feedback? Haha.

Y'all ever read Dragon Rider or the Inkheart series? Cornelia Funke saved my childhood, not joking. The only part of it that exists is the time my mom read to my siblings and I from those books.

Which is great because Cornelia Funke was a social worker, and she wanted to reach out to struggling kids all over the world to show them how to celebrate their strengths as children, rather than just make them wise beyond their years. It really shows in her novels how much she wanted to be there for all children everywhere, even outside of Germany. So that makes me happy, because she managed to improve my life! And mine would have sucked with her! :P

Hey, @Freida, wanna know how your happy dance looks to different devices?

My device isn't listed in this list, but I switch between my iPhone and this computer I'm typing on now. I thought you might find it neat. This is how my laptop sees it:

And this is how everyone else sees it!
Alien Monster Emoji

So that's fun!

On my laptop, I get to guess at all the emojis. Fun stuff.

I copy and paste from that encyclopedia a lot when I need to.

It says that in March of 2019 (my birth month!!) we'll get a service dog emoji!!!!! And hearing aids, and prosthetic limbs, and a guide dog, and a blind-cane, and a wheelchair, and a band-aid, and more!!!
