I haven't had the 'jolting' of slipping in and out. I just stopped dissociating. Just like that. No heads up that that was what was going to happen. Just suddenly, BAM! Completely present all the time!
So, although I haven't had the exact same experience you have, I can empathise with the challenges you're having because my own situation has been very unsettling and is, at times, very difficult to deal with. Dissociation just left and now I have to sit and be with stuff and really feel everything because my head's not going anywhere. It's hard.
But, of course, it's also progress... :-)
