Whitney did you read the link above and Myth #2. If you also look at some of the copyright information it says who to contact to reproduce and taking it and using it elsewhere would surely fall under that classification I would think?
Facebook's distribution privileges would be in accordance to the exception of 'signing away your rights' just as you do with posts on this forum. It also explains public domain in the link.
I actually can't paste extracts of the article as it has strict reproduction rights outlined on the bottom of the page in that you had to copy the entire document and acknowledge the source including contact details (which would be promotion on this site).
