Damn Cable Broke

Been without internet or pay tv for the last 24hrs, as a little connector outside decided to break itself off, thus rendering the household boring. So we had to improvise and watch free to air TV... boring...

I have to give it to Foxtel though.... called yesterday and they fixed it first thing this morning.

I'm completley lost without my computer. My mouse broke the other week, and I had to go straight out the next day to get a new one. I wouldn't have normally left the house on this particular day, but I was driven by my need for the internet. Not sure if this is good or bad ? :dontknow:

So, I understand your boredom. Glad you got it all fixed quickly and back on line, and back with proper telly!!

The telly part killed me. Nicolette needs the Internet way more than me. I can usually go a good week without concern... but the pay tv... that is what I turn too when I don't want to be online. I even resorted to DVD's last night.

Anthony, welcome to my world. I've been laid up for 48 hours now with swine flu. I don't even have a tv in my room but I do have my iPhone, this is all that's keeping me going. I can completely relate to how you feel. I can't even have the radio on as my patience is short due to discomfort and my ears are sore. All I've managed is a bit of Internet 1920's music radio via the phone on a super low volume.

Haha...ohhh no!! Had that happened in MY house, my husband would likely be on here today suffering from PTS. (lol...he always has the TV on. Always. Even when he sleeps)

And here's the best part. He sits in front of the TV with his video game console and his laptop going all at once. You'd think his time management skills would be spectacular wouldn't you? lol

I can do without the TV, but the internet is a different story all together....If that had happened here, you would need to make an appointment to get it fixed. Could have been days to weeks, before it was fixed....But be late with a payment, and your shut off....

Your not telling us all you could not find anything to do apart from watch free tv channels, and a DVD.

Good to know us oldies know different, with or without ptsd.

Well... Nicolette unfortunately used her mobile modem, inserted it into her home system, and was working away thus leaving me to my own devices. Even with the cable down, she still worked. Go figure! :)

Yeah.... Horrid me - trying to run my company & do payroll for clients. We also won't mention I have to do extra work now so I can take time off to visit Anthony's boys with him. And let's not discuss sex drive of a PTSD Sufferer!!!!!
