Days to calm down??

Yep. Sometimes it takes awhile.

I try to look at each piece as a challenge / a thing / a competition. Getting back in control & where I want to be faster & smoother. When I've got a whole lot of things going on, trigger after trigger after stressor after etc. :wtf: I usually turn the thing into a game. Granted, it may be a little bit of a f*cked up game, competing against myself to handle each situation better / stronger / faster, but any port in a storm, right?
 
Right now, yes. :wtf: Less 'not calm' more 'extremely (outwardly) calm, imploded otherwise & not here at a...
That is the pattern of sleep problems I have. Might go a night or many nights with little or no sleep. Then I sleep through the night because I am so exhausted. Then it starts in again. First time I heard someone else describe this.
 
I have the same sleep pattern. For years now. I try to move as much as possible during the day to help with sleep, but it feels like there is electricity running through my body.

It is good to be aware of how long it takes you in a cycle... but it is also good to foster, learn, attempt how to use tools and acquire skillsets to decrease the duration of the cycle and also to lengthen the breaks in between. It is entirely doable with commitment and determination. Honest.
