I recently flew from a major airport to go see my son. I was able to manage my anxiety going through security by a lot of internal self-talk. I was told additional screening would be done on me as I had a cast on my broken hand. Knowing the additional screening should be expected helped me prepare. The TSA ladies were kind and helped put me at ease. Having a positive experience and getting on a flight where I had someone to look forward to seeing for a positive reason is helping to replace fearful tearful memories.
