Like this website, where I can talk about what happened to me today. Took me a while to know that other people's anger is not mine. Still can be a challenge. Today I did okay.

It took me a while to figure out other people's anger wasn't mine too (sigh), and that in most instances it wasn't my responsibility to do anything to fix it. My bank made an error that really upset me and I went in to talk with someone about it. I was angry and frustrated, and the girl asked "Are you angry with ME?" Of course, it wasn't HER. Her question was a good one that I've used a lot since - It helps the other person to realize that you are not the reason for their anger and gives I back to them to own.
