I talked to my t about my thoughts when I'm not actively suicidal. When I get headed in that direction I just keep thinking about it more. Looking at options. She says it's more like a coping skill. Not a good one though.

Now is the time to speak to your therapist about suicidal ideation in all it's forms, go for it, it will help build trust, connection, problem solving abilities, capacity to manage bad times in therapy, if you do this now you are going to set yourself and your therapist up for success, as discussing it before a crisis will really assist you in your recovery.I guess what I’m struggling with is...if I were really at the point that I were going to kill myself, I wouldn’t be talking to my therapist about it, I would just go do it.
