As far as I remember (don't remember much from past) my sense of time has always been very bad. I suspect I started dissociating at least around 5 years or so though so there is no real before symptom wise.

I frequently forget the time but am pretty good with guessing due to ambient lighting and weather. I have more issues remembering the day/week/month and/or year (no exaggeration) or if anything is due to/needs to be done on a / or by a certain day. Like Abstract I don't remember a before, but my mum's pretty bad with remembering times/dates too so in my case it maybe genetic, although her mother is narcissistic and she has some much more mild dissociation symptoms too.

Is asking "Do you have poor time sense?" the same as asking whether someone has a poor sense of time?

I'd say I have very good time sense - If I'm aware of my environment (astronomically, lightness, darkness, barometric pressure etc.) and there are no time pieces around with which to reference, I can usually sense what time it is often within five minutes of being accurate.

However, I have a very poor sense of time realitive to when or the length of time I needed to do something. I'll often think a task that only takes five minutes will take me twenty minutes; or one that I estimate taking me twenty minutes will only take me five minutes. I don't know why this is and it's frustrating . . . it's like 'being out of time' - not in the sense that I don't have anymore time, but in the sense that in a weird sense I'm not in time kind of like I'm not there. I don't know if that makes any sense to anyone else.

Anyhoo, I often have problems trying to prioritize things, i.e. when do I need to do something :O_o:

I don't remember a good part of 3 years and semi woke up having no idea what year it was, how old I was, etc. I still have time loss, with occasional checking back into this worldly time frame, and any small trigger sends me back to weeks of timelessness. It is extremely difficult for me to keep a time schedule of any sort. Showing up on the wrong day to my shrinks office, always an hour or two late for the little social contact I have. It has been the single most frightening aspect of ptsd for me, because it is the most tangible representation of my mental health issues. I can explain away most things but it is hard to explain not knowing my age when asked....

Since I was diagnosed with PTSD my sense of time is really poor and also remembering things and forgetfulness. It's annoying and it drives my wife crazy

My sense of time is horrible now and it never used to be. One minute I'm doing something and it is 1pm and the next thing I know it is 10pm and I have no idea where the time went.

My time management is also bad. I used to be 15 minutes early everywhere, now I struggle just to be on time (even seeing multiple alarms on my phone).

Like DMerish I struggle with length of time needed to do something. Very frustrating.
