Do You Manage Ptsd As Chronic Illness?

@The Albatross - I love the idea based on the Galileo thermometer. I had one of those for years until it accidentally got knocked over and smashed to pieces. This has made me think I might need to buy another one and give your method a go :-)

It is a reminder for me about the necessity for endeavoring to do a day to day balanced life. It is also loosely based on 12 step recovery "the stool" but those three things was the starting point of consistency and from a sound foundational practice that was most often reliable (even 2/3rds was better than 1/3rd and sinking)... it worked for me and was a visual aid that I could understand.

I was just wondering, because since I started to interntionally work on therapy, I've had months...
Of course PTSD is a chronic illness, no ifs or buts. And anyone who tries to make such a horrific illness into a little bothersome injury that could possibly ever forgotten will have their you know what ripped out if they dare to tell that to me.

Is that kind of logical, or my need for crazy overplanning and micro-managing things?

When I'm doing well ...It's line item in my book.

Aka... Not just logical; but also smart, proactive, and necessary.

When I find I DONT need the time I've set aside? <grin> I get to do extra stuff! It completely changes the dynamic. Instead of taking the time I need meaning I have to sacrifice, and not get done what I'd planned? (And be running behind, feeling guilty/ashamed/stressed out) My planned stuff gets done (in other time slots), I get the space I need, and I get a windfall here & there & get to do extra stuff :D Molto bene.
