At least a sheet, even if it is hot. I prefer the room be cold and I have a stack of blankets. Can't cover my face though... I need the fresh air or I get claustrophobic. Then I break into a sweat, no matter how cold it is. That is all followed by chills... I may as well not crawl into bed.

I have a vellux blanket that I use like I am in a cocoon, under me and over me. I have to sleep like that or I feel to exposed.

No, but I cannot sleep on my back when I am unwell, I feel unsafe, so I sleep flat on my stomach. Also, when I was particularly unwell, I used to ask my husband to wrap me in a sheet around my body like a cocoon or a swaddled baby.

I sleep with a lot of covers, always with socks and usually something over part of my head. It's like my head and feet are the most vulnerable, although that doesn't directly follow from any trauma that I can think of. If I am completely shut off from the world, it doesn't exist (at least not enough to make it so I can't sleep).

This just caught my attention, after I have been looking into buying a weighted blanket. I too have everything covered, including wearing socks, and wondered if the blanket might actually help me reduce the amount of covering, if that makes sense?

Really, I cannot stand the cold!! It is my worst enemy! Plus it is protection with wrapping my blankets around me from the outside world.

I have a body heat problem and I hate lots of covers - unless it is cold out. Which it rarely is here. I loooove really cold weather and comfy blankets, though. Nice way to sleep!

Yes. Sheets, soft blanket down comforter, lots of pillows...I live in the hot AZ desert too. I like to feel comfort. safe, cocooned is the best way to put it. However! Last summer our A/C went out on a Friday night...So no one could make a call until Monday...so I could not sleep too hot, it was 100+ in the house. I can' sleep w/o blankets. I've wondered if it was because I was born in the winter in NY where it's cold.

As with the others who have said the weight makes them feel secure, I just cannot relax without a decent blanket on top of me.

I always sleep with a sheet (makes me feel 'clean') and a blanket..now that I have a/c i always have a comforter but i will switch it out for a light one but even with it's hot i have to have something over me.
