yes, Music helps. Anything that involves the mind as completely as possible is good diversion from brooding. activities and experiences that involve more senses are just that much more effective, at least for me. I can lose myself in a good passage from a favorite song and be totally free of the demons and the racing thoughts for a period of time, a nice tool to use because all you have to do is turn on the victrola and you get a break from the fight.
