@Cypress Thanks for sharing your experience, it is very helpful. I hope my experience is the same, but I have to factor in the fact that my forced oral experience was so bad my mind would not let me remember all of it. It took someone who had knowledge of what took place to fill in the blanks and me remember more, in my experience I was held down (brown-dale hold) for over 8 hours, was orally assaulted for that duration to stop my screaming.

Your feedback does make me feel the chances are very small I will have a dis-associative, emotional flashback or flashback afterwards. It is being done in the hospital here, so if it does they have people there who can help me with it.

In any case, it has to be done regardless. So it is what it is as they say.

My PcP has already informed them of my PTSD, and that if they need an MRI done it can only be done asleep/heavily sedated.

In case your wondering what a browndale hold is, it is an abusive technique used by entities that stem from Browndale in canada and Warrandale in canada. They would hold us down by our legs, and from our backs (hands drawn up like with a straight jacket ). These holds have been documented to be over 16 hours. Often done for no reason other than their control, during a hold we would be taunted for the duration of the hold to make us upset. Often this would go on until we either passed out from exhaustion or we were catatonic (very often).

Me too... I have had SEVERAL of both. It's uneventful. If you tell yourself it is bad, it will be. You go to sleep and wake up...that's it. No pain, no drama. Sometimes my throat is a bit sore, but I have learned to take a throat lozenge with me and pop it in right when I wake up and I am fine. The colonoscopy you don't even know happened.

I am taking the approach that I have to get it done regardless, so a little radical acceptance, I will have to deal with it, if there is anything to deal with. But it is good to know that all will be well.
