@Zoogal when my ex and I split 12-13 years ago I was totally okay. (he was an abusive SOB) so I thought I moved on. A few years later I got blindsided by the fact that my daughter was dating. I knew what that lead to and I couldn't find a way too manage every trigger from childhood SA, multiple rapes in high school were all the terrify things I was projecting on her future. Now my son has reached the age I am terrified for him.. He had several friends locked down during the college campus shooting today and now it has become horrifically real that when he leaves for college next year I can't be there to protect him. We live in a volatile and violent world and honestly I don't know how to protect my children let alone myself
