On a chronic level, I get exhausted if I'm in a high-stress situation where my startle and hypervigilence are up and roaring--extremely busy days at work (I work with people) or crowds, or in places where there's a lot of crashing and banging.
If I have a flashback or dissociative episode, I'm utterly worn out. I run 5Ks, but those don't exhaust me as much as the kind of tiredness from flashbacks or dissociations. It's like someone inserted a key or needle in my back, drew out whatever energy or uprightness I had and left it spilled on the floor. I feel droopier than a rag doll.
