Fin Has Been Banned

While I agree with you in some aspect, unless you have been a victim of her stalking you can't know what it was like. Without getting into the details, I do know what it was like.

I feel for Fin and hope she does get the help she needs, but this is not the right place for her. JMHO

I can understand this isn't the right place for her. I can understand she is not doing well at all right now.

I just can't understand the conversations and comments about a sister with a serious case of PTSD that has lead to other issues. Someone is seriously hurting inside if they are stalking people on the internet. Could possibly even have abandonment issues.

The shoe could be on the other foot sometime. Do you like people talking about you as if you are a 'mental case'?

So again, my problem is not that she was banned. My problem with this whole scenario is the continuing conversation and comments about her and her condition.

While I respect your opinion on this subject, this is an open forum and there have been on going threads about moderated and banned members in the past, and members have voted to keep it as an open discussion.

There is also the thread in the PTSD CHAT area that deals with BPD and references to Fin have been made quite frank, moreso actually, so I find it confusing that you find this one so upsetting....

I can't go into details either pertaining to my dealings with Fin, but I can say this much, as far as my OWN opinion.......This forum is for people with PTSD, PTS, and carers for people with PTSD. There are others on here that probably do have other issues as well, but they present themselves in a way that is not disrupting to the forum as a whole, and do a great job. I give them all a tremendous amount of respect for what they go through on a daily basis.

That said.. This is also a learning curve for all of us, and I find it important to keep the subject on going, so that all of us may learn a bit more and to be more open minded on this subject as well as other mental health issues.

I simply have not read the other threads about Fin. That is why I spoke up on this one only.

And I am done speaking on the topic. I said what I felt...anymore could turn into an argument.

We all have our own perceptions on situations-no one 'right' or 'wrong'-, and I felt it was important to share mine.

I don't think anyone here feels any animosity towards Fin. There are many of us on the forum that have tried to help her (in our own ways). Talking openly about what happened with Fin may help her when she's ready.

When I first came to the forum, I was under moderation for a long time, but I hadn't started meds/therapy... and I was in despair. Had I not received help, I'm sure I would have been banned. Unchecked mental illness infects everyone around. To not talk about it openly only creates more problems.

Having an online discussion circle is part of the healing process. We as members have that right. Fin may not be able to post, but she can read what we are saying.

In my opinion, I understand the view point evergreen mean however I agree with anthony, mods, and other people's view. I have DID, it is controlled however, but if it wasn't, I would ask for the ban. Having a mental illnesses is never an excuse that we HAVE to put up with destructive behavior, for her and for the members here. My own opinion, take it as you will.

Personally, I have enjoyed and benefitted from Fin's friendship, and especially appreciated her support while my Piglet was sick. She has also given me some excellent insights, for which I am grateful. I do wish Fin all the best, and hope that she will obtain the help she needs to heal and make progress.

I just wondered why people with uncontrolled personality disorder would not be allowed on the forum. Do you mean she isn't receiving medication for it, then running riot on the forums?

I imagine they would be like my mother, perhaps with ptsd from being gang raped and a personality disorder triggered by past abuse? She is medicated though, but she still acts totally crazy, so would she for example be forbidden on the forum?

I don't know too much about it either, so I was just wondering is this because she appears not to have PTSD that she is being banned or more to do with her personality disorder being unmedicated.

So sorry for my small i's too. I don't know why I do that, must be a self -esteem problem :) Thanks for pulling me up on it though.
