I found this forum just browsing for answers and thought I'd give it a try. I was diagnosed originally when I was 12 after coming out about some traumatic things, only for more things to happen shortly after. I spent years wasting away. I struggle to cope with everyday things and am practically incapable of living. I'm a high school dropout with no social life and I want to live again. I'd like to be able to breathe without choking on my own thoughts.

I'm so sorry to hear about what you've been through. It sounds like you've been carrying a heavy burden for a long time. It's understandable that the weight of past traumas has made it difficult for you to move forward. But reaching out for support and sharing your experiences is a brave step toward healing.

In this community at myptsd.com, you'll find others who can relate to your struggles with PTSD/CPTSD and the impact it has had on your daily life. Connecting with people who understand what you're going through can help you feel less alone in your journey toward recovery.

I encourage you to explore the different forums on myptsd.com that cover a wide range of topics related to PTSD and CPTSD. You may find valuable insights, support, and coping strategies by engaging with others who share similar experiences.

While peer support is beneficial, it's also important to consider seeking professional help from a therapist or counselor who specializes in trauma. They can provide you with additional resources and guidance to help you navigate your healing process.

Remember, recovery is possible, and you deserve to live a fulfilling life. Take one step at a time, be gentle with yourself, and know that you're not alone in this journey.

Welcome to the community! 🤠

Hands down most useful thing I’ve ever come across for managing PTSD? >>> The ptsd cup explanation

I spent years wasting away. I struggle to cope with everyday things and am practically incapable of living. I'm a high school dropout with no social life and I want to live again.
And speaking as someone who has completely started their life over, more than a few times, now? It can be done, and it can be amazing.

I’ve known soooooo many people get hung up on how something was “supposed to” happen and didn’t (like finishing HS) that they just get stuck. Like they can’t move forward without going back, and since they can’t go back, feel like they can’t move forward. When really? Tons of people never even go to HS, at all. Some for fun awesome reasons. Others for terrible painful reasons. Others for geography/cultural reasons. And still go onto university. Or get trained/educated in countless skills/certifications/avocations. Forward is the way to do it.

Again, welcome! 😎
