Flashback In The Form Of A Dream (reposted From Flashback & Dissociation)

I had a rather peculiar dream last night. The message in it was essentially a flashback, except the people in it were different. The person who assaulted me was the friend and room-mate of my former significant other. This was how we got know one another and how he managed to spin me into his tangled and twisted web. My dream last night was of my current significant other's/supporter's room-mate and friend becoming intimate with me. It terrified me and disgusted me even though all that was involved in the intimacy of the dream was a kiss. I woke up petrified.

I suppose it is my guilt talking about how I became interested in my abuser and how his and my relationship as friends/whatever-you-want-to-call-it-before-things-went-south developed. I have no interest whatsoever in my supporter's room-mate and am merely cordial with him. I love my supporter more than anyone in the world and he cares for me in the same way, so I know that my dream didn't have anything to do with my gut telling me something about my relationship with my supporter/significant other.

This morning when I woke up, I've been feeling like my significant other and I aren't on good enough terms or that we're distant, when in reality, I checked my facts and those feelings are just residual from the state of mind I was in in my dream. It's not reality.

I'm just confused and perplexed over this odd flashback. I don't know what I would have to do to clear my mind of the troubles of my past completely
