To whomever brought this thread to life again, thank you. I needed to see these today.

This is a plant my dear friend Michael sent me. He always does this from time to time. The cards always say the same thing, "Just because." Bless his little pointed head.

I LOVE flowers. Last week I went out to my greenhouse to clean up out there and I found this....

The plant you see must be confused, it normally does not start flowering until March or April and goes all the way until August or September. I grow a LOT of flowers. It is good therapy for me. It gives me something to look forward to.

Jaded Ghost, that plant above really made me smile. My grandmother had a knack to get anything to grow. Flowers that weren't suppose to bloom on a continuous basis always seemed to with her...all through the winter and what should have been there dormant stage. Flowers would grow in her pots outside even though they were annuals.

What a nice memory you have brought me. Thank you! (by the way I am not so good at growing anything, but I try)

Britt, I used to have a black thumb! For real. But I found refuge in teaching myself how to better care for my plants and I've found a deep love in caring for them. Wen I'm in my green house its like I am in another world. I am able to escape my PTSD symptoms.

THat is wonderful, Jaded. One of my plants had mold on it, and since I am sensitive to such things, I had to place it out by the back door. I have been watering it. It looks better out there than in there! (I live in North Carolina, so it is warn enough here most days to get away with this I guess, thankfully. Maybe the cold refreshing air killed the mold!

@ Jaded, I feel that way out in my veggie garden and when tending to my outdoor flowers and plants. Still, pretty much, a black thumb out there and I tend to let them just do what they want. The weeds often win. Still, it does give me a sense of peace. It's interesting, even though I am on a busy road, I tend to tune out what is going on around me when I am tending to the garden.
