Wow, this morning I signed on and there is flashing at the top of my screen BUT I ignore while looking through the posts until I finally realize that it's this message from ANTHONY!!! So now it has my FULL ON attention (in case I've done something wrong, full moon, you know) but it's about the upgrade and my status as a posters :).

Thank you so much for such a great addition, I never expected it and I know most of your work is behind the scenes for people like me that are blindly self-involved but I just wanted you to know that I've been looking around at 4am here and knowing you been going non-stop, and it's a whole lot of work. It is a ridiculously awesome site before but now it seriously rocks!

Anyway, nice touch! It's highly appreciated :tup:

It's great how messages now come through as full emails - meaning you don't have to log onto the forum to see them and how, when you do, alerts pop up on the side of the wall you are typing on/reading.

Just did my first new PC:

• like how it shows the person's avatar when you select a name (very helpful)
• like how you can insert a picture now including a screen print.

The scrolling announcement thingy across the top of the page was cool! What a great way to deliver messages. But i was kind of glad to find that if you hover your mouse over the upper right corner, a close box appears, and you can click it off.

Some messages are dismissable, more important ones are not and are permanent.

Notices in forums about one thread or such, they are permanent. If a new notice was to appear, it would scroll across when in that forum, yet if you put your mouse on a scrolling announcement, it stops it on the one you are reading. Move your mouse off, it scrolls again. You can also select which message to view from the bottom right when multiple notices are present.

Once you have read and dismissed, dismissible notices, they will not show again.
