Hi there!
50 yo transwoman, survivor of early childhood sexual abuse and torture, spent last 32 years in public safety as a paramedic, corrections officer, and police officer. As a cop, I spent 14 years as a School Resource Officer for primary and secondary public schools. I've led my county's Critical Incident Stress Response Team for the last 17 years, following the ICISF protocols.
I'm diagnosed with PTSD, ADD/ADHD (distractibility, not hyperactive) and depression. I also fit the criteria for C-PTSD.
Found this site while researching Abilify as a treatment option, as my psychiatrist suggested it after all other medications have failed.
Life is a struggle, but I know recovery is possible.
