Last night hubby was acting the fool coming out with all sorts of daft stuff.

Then came a classic that bit him back big time.

He said "I was a 40 year old virgin when we met". I replied, "Yea virgin on insanity"

He was lost for words and I could not stop laughing.

He was kidding but I got him with that one.

When I was a little girl I had no clue what ice cream was. At one of my foster homes I was asked to get the ice cream out of the freezer and dish some up for people. I did, but I put it on the stove to warm it first. Placed it in mugs and took it out to the group. Needless to say everyone cracked up. My foster mother took me back into the kitchen and introduced me to ice cream. I've been a big fan every since.

Another thing I really like is indoor plumbing. When I was a little girl, I was outside and used the area behind the grape arbor to do my duty. After the police rescued me and I was in the hospital, a very kind nurse showed me what a bathroom was for. I was shocked. When I saw the water go round and round I go very excited. It was wonderful. Then when I saw what you could get rid of, I was even more excited. After I got out of the hospital and was in foster homes for a while, I was sent to an orphanage and they sent me to a girl scout camp. While in the hospital, the nurse had shown me a picture of an outhouse, and here they had a real one only it didn't have a quarter moon on the door. I decided then and there, I liked indoor-outhouses much better than outdoor outhouses. How about you?

Last night hubby was dreaming again, not badly but a bit of jumping about in bed.

Then came the big one. He took a giant leap and landed on the floor, taking the quilt with him.

It seems he was attacking a burglar.

The funny part was that he did this twice. Both times waking up and very sheepishly covering me back up.

I am still giggling at the look on his face.

Sounds like something I'd do!

Although my partner had the 'presence' of mind to sneak up behind me and tickle me whilst I was drawing the window shut (it slides closed).......he came within a bee's dick of being smacked, I had NO idea he was there, and I actually shouted out "the F*ck??"

Then this morning, the cats usually sleep on the reclining armchair above my head on the headrest, but my brother thought he would lean on the back of the headrest and slide down and bite my shoulder (his way of saying he wants breakfast:rolleyes:).

Problem was, I damn near jumped out of the chair and punched him....I didn't, but it got VERY close.

Why do the silly peoples keep trying to take their lives into their hands when dicing with my startle reflex!?

My friend's dog always comes rushing up to me in the morning, charging my face. Yes, she is a happy dog. She always wants to sleep next to my hip but under the cover (thanks to her mom and dad that does it). Well one day I wouldn't just to mess with her. She gave up and slept on top of the blanket.

Moments later, I hear a light thud. She had fallen off the bed! She was startled, shook and pranced back to mom and dad. Crazy thing.

When I first got together with my man he would regularly fall out of the bed. I thought, ' what grown man falls out if a bed', what made it even worse is that we have a massive super king size bed so it's not as if there's not enough room. Anyway, turns out he often dreamt of his time in the services when he did a lot of parachute jumps, hence he was parachuting off the edge of the bed :-)

I think it would be good for us to have a good place to laugh and share the goofy, funny, embarrassing comedies of our lives. Childhood, teen years, adulthood, old age, family, friends, strangers... anything goes!

This morning I took a shower, brushed my hair, got dressed and went to church. I didn't pay close attention to my face, as I don't wear make-up or anything like that.

Well! When I got home from church, I happened to notice this long bugger sticking out of my nose!!! No WONDER the guy in front of me moved up an isle in the pews!

I'm so embarrassed, but I did just laugh right now writing this. Thankfully, I think this thread will have some good comic relief for us. I hope you agree!

Sheila there is a thread for this called G.O. L.D. No worries you did not know.

One day, just for fun, when I was a young teen, we dressed my dog up in some of my daddy's cloths. We put boxer shorts on him, a white shirt and tie, and then walked him around the block. Someone actually came out to take photos of it, and others came out to share a good laugh with us. Poor Charlie, I don't really know if he enjoyed this or not, although dogs do like attention, so maybe he did. I think he wagged his tail when folks came out to chat and laugh and enjoy it all.
