You know something I know what a record is in fact I put all my dad's records onto cd for him. All the good ones I can remember Jimmy Dean, Johnny Horton, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Bing Crosby, Eddy Arnold, Gene Autry, Marty Robbins, Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Roy Clark, Rodger Miller, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Jimmy Duarntee, Little Jimmy Dickens, Kenny Rodgers. All of these artists I know at least 2 songs of theirs. In fact I am mildly Famous at the kareoke bar for singing the stuff. That's back when music was music and they were true artists. And yes they had records for even my generation Micheal Jackson, Queen, AC/DC. My Children have been exposed to all of the old music because I want them to know where music came from and the things I grew up listening too.
Another thing that I sort of noticed that is missing from my own generation is the art of whistling. My Dad used to be able to whistle so well that he won a competition at a state fair once. He has since lost that ability because of the brain damage he suffered from his heart attack. As for myself I learned to whistle right after I learned how to walk. My children cannot whistle even after hours of practicing with me instructing them. Around here if you see a person whistling it's usually a gray haired man.
