- It’s okay to treat yourself (if you have the sufficient funds to do so).
- It’s okay to take a break from people.
- It’s okay to acknowledge that you have mental health challenge(s), illness(es) or obstacle(s) (each one is different).
- It’s okay to have your not-so-great days. This doesn’t mean that you have failed.
- It’s okay to separate yourself from stress in the moment that it happens (just be sure to not put off whatever needs to be done. It can be challenging, but you’ve got this).
- It’s okay to cry.
- It’s okay to feel lost or uneasy.
- It’s okay to have night terrors, this doesn’t mean that the perpetrator has “won” or is “living in your head rent-free”.
- It’s okay to not live up to the “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” standard that outsiders expect of you. Just know that you’re already stronger for making it another day and you’re trying.
- It’s okay to acknowledge that not all days are perfect.
